Plain Text Stripe CLI API Keys

Stripe CLI stores profile configuration in config.toml. Current upstream uses keyring storage for live-mode keys, but test-mode and legacy API key fields can still be present as plaintext config values. Automic Vault detects plaintext Stripe API key fields but does not migrate them because upstream already has keyring-backed live-mode handling and profile config is mutable.

Stripe CLI Protected-tool coverage Detector

This detector reports plaintext Stripe CLI API keys in config.toml.

Stripe CLI stores profile configuration under ~/.config/stripe/config.toml or $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/stripe/config.toml. Current upstream stores live-mode keys in a keyring and writes redacted values to config, but test-mode and legacy API key fields can still appear as plaintext.

This protected-tool coverage is detect-only because safe remediation belongs in the upstream profile/keyring store.
