Erlang/OTP 28.0 was announced on May 21, 2025 as a major release. The release introduced new language and runtime features such as priority messages, zip generators and strict generators in comprehensions, based floating-point literals, compiler diagnostics improvements, and source SBOM publication on GitHub Releases.
